What’s that…a holiday?

Yes, it’s true. I have finally booked some time off from work to kick back and well, erm, work most likely.

One of my oldest friends (and that’s old as in we’ve known each other for a long time and not old as in, old), is coming to visit me over the weekend and what a fun packed treat I have in store for her!

Heather (that’s the friend) doesn’t get into London until 12 and by the time we venture back to my flat with her stuff it’ll probably be more like 3 before we hit the town.

I thought to break her in gently, I will take her to see the sights and sounds of Covent Garden (not Convent!) and perhaps get something to eat and drink there.

A great suggestion from my landlord/landlady was to take a canal boat from Little Venice to Camden Town which is something we will be doing on Saturday afternoon.

There are three different boat companies that offer this service, and during this time of year the trips are limited to 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

Then, when the sun goes down we shall be experiencing the nightlife of Camden. Let’s just see if it is as good as TV21’s in the Northern Quarter of Manchester.

I thought this day may be left for resting before Heather has to return to the fresh air of the North.

I shall update the blog on Monday after all the fun of the weekend but if you want to know what is going on, you can get up to date messages and pics from my Twitter account.

The views and opinions of the article above are that of my own and not my employer.
